Here´s the punchline many small businesses don´t get. These tools are designed to make the consumer´s life easier. The goal is to ensure they convert on the website. The business owner still needs to maintain the back end. Check that the appointment times online are correct, confirm the appointments, and ensure that the shopping cart is working. You actually only want or need one payment method, so why offer several? Or why have a reservation or chat module if you want people to book appointments by email?
The days of if you build it they will come for online business passed in the last century. Between social proof, reviews and cutthroat competition life is tough out there. Being an online business is just as time-consuming as being in a store. Actually – with blurring lines of work from home sometimes you burn the candle at both ends.
